Two Solano newspapers endorse Cabaldon

Wed, May 14th 2008, 08:22

Both of Solano's daily newspapers are enthusiastically endorsing my candidacy.  Their editorials say it all:
"Mr. Cabaldon is a get-it-done Democrat who has overseen positive change in his community. He is focused on economic development, as well as the environment. He has served as a member of the Yolo-Solano Air Quality Management District, and has fought for clean water, habitat enhancement, recreation, farmland preservation and sustainability in the Delta.
As a top policy expert with the state Legislature for nearly a decade, he understands how the system works in Sacramento and is equipped to not just examine the big picture, but effectively change it.
Those attributes will be effective ammunition for the Democratic party's battle for the seat this fall. Mr. Cabaldon is the party's best choice this June." -- The Vacaville Reporter
"Who is best suited to replace Wolk in the 8th Assembly District?  We think it's Christopher Cabaldon, mayor of West Sacramento.  He will serve Solano well in Sacramento.
Cabaldon says public education, the environment, economic development, housing, transportation, the delta and infrastructure needs are among the major issues facing the 8th Assembly District, which includes most of Solano and Yolo counties.  He's tackled all of these either as mayor or as chairman of the Sacramento Area Council of Governments' award-winning Blueprint process, which has become a national model.
Cabaldon has a track record of making things happen.  We believe he's the right choice." -- The Daily Republic
