Dead heat in Dallas mayoral race

According to a poll conducted by the Dallas Morning News, Ed Oakley and Tom Leppert are running neck and neck in the race to become the next mayor of Dallas.

The two candidates, who have approached their campaigning with vastly different strategies, will be working hard to mobilize their voters over the next few days.  Oakley has been outspent by multi-millionaire Tom Leppert but will rely on his formidable base of supporters who have been with him over the course of his two terms on the city council.
