Marketing & Communications Intern

Position Overview
Works with all members of the team, including the Senior Vice President of Marketing & Communications, assisting them with all brand awareness, donor relations, and advertising programs. The intern will become familiar with all aspects of branding, communications, and direct marketing in a non-profit and political environment, as well as learn technical skills ranging from database management to website maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in the production of direct marketing, communications, and press materials
- Research, writing and editing
- Supporting internet marketing and fundraising initiatives
- Managing clips collection process and merchandising efforts
- Participation in meetings (inside and outside of office), press briefings and coalition efforts
- Event planning and staffing
- Shares responsibility of general office support including: mail distribution, inventory/restocking, organizing and technical assistance
- Other duties as assigned
